WAREHOUSE

In October 2009 Galerie Thomas Zander opens its second exhibition space WAREHOUSE with Anthony McCall’s large-scale light installation “Leaving (With Two-Minute Silence)“. The 600 sqm building from the 1960s provides ample space for storage, as well as for installations and presentations of large-scale works.

The first joint project at the WAREHOUSE is a group exhibition in collaboration with the galleries Schmidt Maczollek and Michael Wiesehöfer, opening in April 2010. The galleries Schmidt Maczollek and Michael Wiesehöfer opened their new gallery spaces at Schönhauser Str. 8 in March 2010. Through the connection of adjacent cultural and art institutions in the last few years, Schönhauser Straße has already established itself as an attractive spot in the Cologne art scene as well as for national and international visitors.
From now on the WAREHOUSE will function as a “Schaulager” for the three galleries.
